Charged under paragraph "d" of part 2 of Article 207.3 ("Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation based on political hatred", up to 10 years' imprisonment), part 1 of Article 280.3 ("Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, committed by a person after he was brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act within one year", up to 5 years' imprisonment), two episodes of part 2 of Article 205.2 ("Justification and propaganda of terrorism using the Internet", up to 7 years' imprisonment), paragraph "c" of part 2 of Article. 280.4 ("Public calls for activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation, or for obstructing the exercise by government bodies and their officials of their powers to ensure the security of the Russian Federation using the Internet", up to 6 years' imprisonment) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Under all articles, Yakunichev faces up to 15 years' imprisonment. He has been deprived of his liberty since April 1, 2024, initially undergoing compulsory psychiatric examination, and since May 3, 2024, in custody.
