Kurtamet Appaz Khalilovich

Kurtamet Appaz Khalilovich, born August 19, 2002, Crimean Tatar, citizen of Ukraine, resident of the village of Novoalekseevka, Genichesk district, Kherson region of Ukraine. Son of the head of the Muslim community of the mosque in Novoalekseevka, Khalil Kurtamet (detained by Russian security forces on November 7, 2023), previously a student of the Imam Khatib Islamic College, worked as a technical support operator for Softum LLC.

On April 20, 2023, on charges of a crime under Part 1 of Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Financing an armed formation not provided for by federal law"), he was sentenced to 7 years in a strict regime penal colony.

Deprived of liberty since July 23, 2022.
